The body boasts correct panels gaps and fit, all of the brightwork has been refinished or replated, and the car even rides on wide white wall tires with correct factory wheel covers. The restoration was undertaken with an eye to keeping this T-Bird as close to the way it rolled off the assembly line in early 1955 as possible.

This is a car of significance not only because of its outstanding condition (perhaps the finest example in North America) and extreme rarity but also due to it being documented by the Thunderbird Club as the longest one owner Thunderbird, as well as, the earliest produced car on the list. The accessories, lights, wipers, power seat and gauges are in working order. The hardtop seals up nicely and the headliner looks nice. The carpet was replaced not too long ago. The interior is very clean and looks to be somewhat original including dash, gauges, rear flap and possibly the seating.

Originally built on May 21st of 1955 in Deerborn and delivered new in Canary Yellow with black and yellow interior equipped with it's 292ci V8 and factory 3-speed manual transmission.
